English term or phrase: Bergenites
Hello. I'm posting this in Eng>Nor again so that I can get info from people who will know something about it.

I'm dealing with a Japanese to English document talking about tourism in Norway. The word meaning "people from Bergen" has been translated as "Bergenites".

Is there any specific word that you know of in English for people from Bergen? Is "Bergenites" OK?

Thanks.

I decided to use Bergensers, since that would be closest to the real word. Thanks!

Explanation:
I dont think you find an English word for the people from Bergen. The Norwegian word is "bergensere", you might just use that or call it "the people in Bergen"

Explanation:
I found this on official tourism sites in Bergen and think it works quite well.

Example sentence(s):
  • The Bergeners are immensely proud of their city and its traditions.
