Nie jest to ani komenda, ani meldunek.
Po prostu kapitan informuje swoich ludzi,
co zamierza zrobić.

W przekładzie książkowym brzmi to następująco:

"Aster zaryzykował trzy z pozostałych mu pięciu torped
na równoczesną salwę do dwóch frachtowców,
idących blisko siebie."

Jak to ładnie fachowo powinno brzmieć?

Overlaping shot ma miejsce, kiedy z punktu widzenia strzelającego jeden cel przesłania lekko drugi. I strzelający ma nadzieję, że jeśli nawet chybi jednego z nich, to ewentualnie trafi przynajmniej ten drugi.

Sama salwa jest jedna, jak przy normalnym strzelaniu do jednego celu. Tylko celów potencjalnie mogących zostać trafionymi jest sztuk dwa. Coś jak zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe :-)
