English term or phrase: to scale
Estou traduzindo um artigo no qual o verbo "to scale" tem um papel muito importante. Variações como "scaling" (the role of scaling) "self-scaling" (self-scaling capacity of sth) "scaled" (sth is scaled), "to scale itself" aparecem o tempo todo. Eu gostaria de manter o palavra escala, ao invés de utilizar "medida" "mesurar" ou "dimensionar". Em alguns casos eu consegui traduzir por "ser ou servir como escala de si mesmo", "torná-lo escala" etc mas no caso "the self-scaling" só consigo substituir por auto-dimensionamento (ou auto-dimensionar).

o que vocês acham das soluções que encontrei, ideias?

self-scaling capacity of sth) - capacidade de autograduação
scaled" (sth is scaled), - sth é graduado
the self-scaling - auto-graduável

(sth is scaled), - sth é escalonado (é escalável)
