O corte súbito me parece a melhor opção, talvez corte descontínuo, mas não fica muito estético.
Outra opção seria manter como Smash Cut, muitas bibliografias de edição e continuidade no cinema mantém o termo original e o explicam. Talvez traduzir mais genericamente como corte súbito e criar uma nota de rodapé especificando.

Yes  Cláudia Pinheiro Pereira: Também me deparei com o mesmo, que muitas publicações mantêm smash cut em original. Gosto de corte súbito ou abrupto - só por sugerir uma nova opção :) Mas concordo que se usa mais o termo em inglês.
