English term or phrase: Hardline and Softline

I believe softline is "general merchandise like apparel, bedding, linens, shoes, etc."
and hardline is "a retail product collection consisting primarily of hardware targeting the do-it-yourself customer"

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Mario, but I wanted to know if there's a similar concept for Brazilian retailers. I "translated" as: linhas de produto hardline e softline
