glonţ sau proiectil semiblindat Explanation: Se poate spune şi glonţ semiblindat. Mi-am permis sa va dau o referinţă în limba franceză "balle demi blindee". Văd că se spune si in limba romana "glonţ semiblindat". gloanţe dum-dum Explanation: Deductiv: Soft point bullets are designed to expand upon impact. Asta ştiu eu că fac dum-dumurile. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 minute (2007-07-04 10:20:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Ia uite ce zice aici: A 'dum dum' bullet is a slang term indicating a type of bullet designed to impart greater 'stopping power' to its target by deforming on impact. There are various means by which a bullet can be designed to do this - hollow point, soft point or soft nose, cross cut. Dar... Technically, the true 'dum dum' is a soft-nosed projectile - one in which the metal jacket material of the bullet stops short of the bullet's tip, leaving the soft lead exposed. http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=808242 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 minute (2007-07-04 10:22:14 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Încă una: http://forum.chip.ro/archive/index.php/t-28255.html -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 24 minute (2007-07-04 10:26:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Interesant articolul. Se pare că dum-dum ar fi varianta etimologic corectă pentru soft-point. Sau "cu vârf retezat", văd în linkul românesc. |
