este vorba despre acel bat cu capetele captusite, pe care il vedem preponderent in emisiunile americane cu gladiatori (ma rog, cine se uita la asa ceva...:)) Este folosit in antrenamentele militare pentru a simula lupta cu baioneta. Nu stiu care este termenul folosit in romana pentru el. Multumesc

ciomag=bat mare si gros, uneori cu maciulie la unul din capete
In acest caz are maciulie moale la ambele capete si se "boxeaza" cu el.
Totodata acest termen pastreaza termenul original "pugil", a boxa. Ciomagul pugilistic este captusit la ambele capete, devening astfel un ciomag "moale", chiar si atungi cand loveste la "moalele capului". In acest caz avem de a face cu o "ciomageala blândă"

Sunt de acord si cu bâtă pugilistica. In unele parti ale tarii nu se foloseste bâtă deloc, in altele nu se foloseste ciomag. De exemplu: Petrosani si Craiova, doua locuri unde am stat, si cand foloseam un cuvant in cealalta zona, se râdea copios pe seama mea.

Intr-adevar in limba romana nu regasim acest termen, dar sper ca traducerea sugerata sa ajute cat de cat. Uite-te, te rog, la cele doua linkuri. Am ajuns la aceasta concluzie prin metoda deducerii.
Sper sa fie bine.

Nu cred ca exista o traducere consacrata
Cel mai aproape ar fi " bâtă" de antenament caci in loc de capat de metal are capat matlasat.
