Explanation:
They are advanced classes. Honors classes are harder than regular, and rather than getting 4 points for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C, you get 5 for an A, 4 for a B, and so on. So basically getting a B in an honors class is like getting an A in a regular one, although you'll have a lot more work and they're more difficult. You definitely need to be prepared for lots of homework, a fast pace, and difficult test material. Teachers expect you to be smart and you need lots of responsibility.

disagree  Daryo: do you get "teachers" at university level? Also here it's a simply a marking scale / grading of exam results NOT a separate type of courses.

Mislim da biste mogli formulisati kao - intenzivni časovi na višem nivou ili sa zahtevnijim programom. U svakom slučaju ekvivalent u SR ne postoji. Možete se snaći u smislu kraće formulacije, ili napisati u fus noti.

“The main difference for English classes is that the Honors classes are a bit more challenging for students,” Instructor Lisa Renz said. “The expectations are a bit higher we move at a quicker class in the honors classes and often its more stringent assignments.”

Are honors and accelerated classes the same?
accelerated and honors are like the same thing pretty much. the only difference is getting honors credit on your trascript. but either way, the course is very fast paced and sometimes have different requirements than regular classes.

neutral  Daryo: given the other related question, you'll see that this is about University level courses - which might give it a different twist. https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english-to-serbian/education-peda...
