have misunderstood the Source Text - as simple as.

Point of method: Asker's comments (as "obveznice za potrebe glasanja mogu udružiti/spojiti") are completely irrelevant IF and WHEN contradicting the text to translate, or more accurately here these comments are not being precise enough.

In actual fact, if you read carefully WHAT IS RELEVANT - i.e. the specific Source Text that has to be translated, the correct explanation is "za potrebe glasanja može se objediniti više serija/grupa/skupova obveznica u jednu jedinstvenu grupu" as per my previous explanation. What could be the meaning of "aggregate" in some other text is completely irrelevant for this question.

OTOH, I have no idea what would be the "usual" term for this, and if I had to translate this I would simply ask bankers specialised in this particular type of trading.

Not to forget the rather obvious clue in the ST: "aggregated series, of Notes...." which no feat of acrobatic logic could metamorphose in "exchange of shares" (as in X old shares for 1 new share).

I feel like my suggestion here is misunderstood and criticized for no obvious reason and thus I have an urge to say here that my suggestion was related to the term “aggregate”, as asked, not the term “Notes” as the esteemed colleague who is just commenting on my entry rather than providing his solution keeps implying. Of course the “notes” are “note” or “srednjoročne obveznice” in Serbian, and it’s obvious from the context that it IS about aggregation-spajanje/sjedinjavanje nota, both of which terms are used in practice. I hope my supplementing comment now will shed more light on the subject and hopefully inspire positive (providing help to a fellow translator with your solution) instead of the negative (trying to prove a given solution wrong) response.

what is "aggregated" here is a set/series of "Notes" (a group of Noteholders") with another one.

It's NOT about exchanging say 10000 Notes for 5000 Notes of doubled value - it's about "aggregating" two or more groups of Noteholders into one group for the purpose of deciding as "ONE group of Noteholder" on some "collective action" - for example, instead of having one group holding 10000 notes deciding for itself on some "collective action" and another group holding say 7000 notes deciding separately, the idea is to "aggregate these two groups of Noteholders in ONE group holding 17000 Notes deciding as one group about some "collective action".
