The silvicultural method that gradually removes the trees from a given stand by a series of partial cuttings over a relatively short period of time. Eventually all overstory trees are removed, resulting in an even-aged stand.

Oplodna seča je metoda u uzgajanju šuma kojom se postepeno uklanja drveće određene šumske sastojine nizom parcijalnih seča tokom relativno kratkog perioda. Konačno je potpuno uklonjen gornji šumski sprat i dobija se sastojina ujednačene starosti.
