Kerning refers to the horizontal space between individual pairs of letters (a kerning pair). Fonts that are properly kerned appear evenly spaced without large open gaps of white space between characters.

Kerning predstavlja povećanje ili smanjenje medjuprostora izmedju pojedinačnih karaktera radi dobijanja prirodnijeg izgleda teksta, ili radi dodatne stilizacije (dobijanja različitih stilskih efekata) teksta. Sa ovom opcijom možete dobiti mnogo bolje efekte u odnosu na standardno umetanje praznog prostora izmedu karaktera, tzv. character spacing.
