English term or phrase: B cap
I need some help with this:

I wanted to play for my country as a player. I got a B cap and that was it," [Jack] Ross told BBC Scotland's Sportsound.

This is the Scottish Football League, but I am not really sure what "B cap" stands for here. A Serbian equivalent or an English explanation would be equally good.
