Naime, svaka nabava (kupnja) vrši se temeljem ugovora, a u određenom roku kupac povlači određenu količinu robe sve dok ukupna ugovorena količina ne bude isporučena.

U SAP-u se inače vodi i popis naloga za djelomičnu isporuku i u kojemu se nakon izdavanja svakog naloga prikazuje kumulirana vrijednost i količina robe koja je isporučena. Evo primjera:
"A list which is stored in a contract at item level. The release order list displays all release orders for a particular item.
The system updates the contract by adding the details of the release order to the release order list and cumulating the total released quantity or value."
