GRIOT En la tradición musical africana, el griot es un bardo o trobador, un músico y narrador de historias que acompaña ciertos acontecimientos sociales. El griot es también el depositario de la historia y la genealogía en una cultura de tradición oral. Algunos de los más conocidos músicos africanos de hoy en día descienden de familias de gritos, como Youssou N'Dour, Mori Kanté o Salif Keita. El griot es sin duda un precursor lejano del rap (y de toda la música negra norteamericana).

agree  Andra Parvu: exactamente, más si el texto es efectivamente de antropología: los términos nativos se dejan tal cual están, y a lo sumo la N.T. lo explica. GRIOT no es exactante lo mismo que el NARRADOR de nuestras culturas occidentales.. Lo sé, porque soy antropóloga:)
