English term or phrase: meta-ureidosubstituted sulfonamides
Would this term be translated as perhaps:
las sulfonamidas meta-ureido sustituidas? or
las meta-ureido sulfonamidas sustituidas?

I can see on-line some similar terms such as meta-aminofenol sustituido, and ureido-sulfonamidas, aril-sulfonamidas sustituidas... I am having trouble the word order and whether or not to put a hguion and where.

Any ideas? Much appreciated! Thank you!

sulfonamidas meta-ureido sustituidas/sulfonamidas meta-sustituidas con ureidos
Explanation:
This is kind of a puzzle because the ortho-, meta- and para- are usually used in cyclic compounds. Here is some info:

Check the table below this page; the synomims are very useful.

You need to keep the "meta" with a hyphen since that marks the positions 1,3 in the benzene/phenil group, as you know.

I am thinking that they probably assimilated the position 1 and 3 (meta) from cyclic compounds to the position 1 and 3 for the sulphonamide group. Somewhat confusing, but hey...

meta-ureido-sulfonamidas sustituidas

Explanation:
I have found only one reference in a patent document about ureido-sulfonamidas. I think you should keep the hyphen with meta also, I htink it refers to sulfonamides which are substitued with a ureido group in meta position. Maybe you should ask your client, because if it is a patent, they use to have some mistakes on purpose, so if it is a mistake you should transcript it a s a mistake.

disagree  Oriol Vives (X): No, that is not correct. You are saying with that answer that you have an ureidosulphonamide and that you substitute something in it, and that is not the case.
