“remoción de redes” Explanation: Hello Lida: Your question is about the translation to Spanish of the expression “stripping of networking” on the context: “"Enable Unity Networking" flag removed from iOS player settings. Now stripping of networking is handled automatically.” This context is part of introduction of the new networking features of Unity 3 BILINGUAL VOCABULARY (related to the context) 1) English term “strip” (verb)= in Spanish “remover” 2) English term “stripping” (used as noun) = in Spanish “remoción” 3) English term “network” (noun) = in Spanish “red” 3) English term “networking” (used as a noun) = in Spanish “redes” TRANSLATION The present case requires a complex analysis of the Unity3 platform and how the technology companies use the term “strip” in the case of users, machines, peripherals, networks and other physical or logical units. To “strip” is used like to “remove” but this doesn’t imply that to “remove” physically. I could be “removed” only from the logical table of the system. The translation to Spanish of the context is “Ahora la remoción de las redes es manejada automaticamente”. About “remocion” the Dictionary of the Real Academia Española says: - “remoción. (Del lat. remotĭo, -ōnis). 1. f. Acción y efecto de remover.” And RedHat, a software company that produce Liniux applications for companies, gives us the possibility to see the use of “remoción” in a page in Spanish language: “8.8.2. Remoción de usuarios Por el aislado entorno en el cual el RHN Satelliteopera, a los usuarios del Satélite se les ha garantizado la habilidad de borrar usuarios. Para acceder a esta función, haga clic en Usuarios en la barra de navegación superior del sitio web RHN. En la lista de usuarios resultante, haga clic en el nombre del usuario que va a ser borrado. Esto lo llevará a la página Información del usuario. Haga clic en el enlace borrar usuario en la esquina superior derecha de la página.” The case of RedHat is about the stripping of users from the system. Our case is the stripping of the networks from the Unity3 system. In some cases, the stripping is only the removing of names of users or the identification of a network from a system. In our case, Unity3 doesn’t give more information. By the way, I talked with a technical support employee of Unity Technologies and he didn't have more information about this case. PROPOSAL: - “remoción de redes” I hope this analysis helps you in your work.
