This phrase appears in a communication from a company informing to its employees that an update to a software they have on their computers will occur on a specific date.

I read a little about push technology and found the phrase "tecnología push" in Spanish. However, this phrase uses the verb and I don't know how to translate it. Can l use "instalar"? "La actualización será instalada en su computadora..."

disagree  JP Bigorda: El servidor podría podría solo enviar el paquete de actualización sin instalarlo, dejando la instalación en sí para cuando el usuario cliente decida realizarla. "Push" en este caso significa simplemente que el servidor decide el envío del paquete.

  -> Gracias por tu comentario, pero en este caso "sí se instalará". Según la pregunta propuesta, el texto del comunicado de la empresa ya informa a los empleados que la actualización ocurrirá en un día concreto. Por tanto, "instalar" es totalmente válido.
