The connection between the Switchyard and Power Island has been commissioned and is ready to back energise the turbines, which is necessary to start the firing process. Back energisation refers to the process of feeding power from the grid, via the switchyard to the generators. The generator spins, bringing the turbine up to

Back energisation is not same as Inadvertant energisation as we use in India. Back energisation refers to energising the generator transformer from HV side with generator connection (or Generator LVCB , if relevant) open.

Explanation:
Se alimenta el secundario del transformador y se mide la entfrega en el primario. Se utiliza normalmente una fuente externa que nada tiene que ver con la red. Se mide la entrega justo antes del generador.

disagree  JoLuGo: Para un transformador de potencia en campo no existe tal prueba. Hay algo parecido que es la prueba TTR (transformer turn ratio) pero se hace con el transformador desconectado y no puede considerarse como “energización
