I need to be corrected if I'm wrong in regards to the term "demandante"

I'm translating a school handbook. It's the section on complaints and the procedure that one is to take if they have a complaint. The handbook refers to the person who has a complaint as a "complainant"

I'm wanting to use "demandante", but to me, this term is for more of a legal setting. What I'm translating is about general complaints.

Is demandante good to use here, or should I go with something else, and if so WHAT ELSE, in Spanish

agree  silviafont: RECLAMANTE is Spanglish. Querellante, even if it's also a legal word, has a more common meanibng of "person who complains" so it's more acceptable.
