English term or phrase: call outs
I need your help in the following term placed in the claim statement of a food label The words are "call outs", specifically it states as: "Call outs front: 290 calories, Call outs back, 290 calories" My concern is with the words "Call outs" Would it mean, "description", "caption"? Thank you for your assistance.

Spanish translation:recuadros
Explanation:
I believe it may refer to the calories (or other dietary information) printed in a noticeable way on the front/back of packages of certain foods. They 'call out' to the shopper who is looking for healthy food.

Quizás tengas razón, pero tu definición de recuadro suena más como la frase "pull quote," que a veces se llaman callouts pero normalment que no.

Aquí son sentidos de callouts and pull quotes:

Definition: 1) Similiar to a photo caption, a callout is a label used to identify parts of an illustration. The call out may be a simple bit of text around the perimeter of the illustration with or without a line or arrow tying it to a section of the illustration or a call out may be framed with boxes, balloons, use arrows, or have some other decorative treatment.

2) A pull-quote or text extract from an article set apart in a larger or contrasting font is sometimes referred to as a call out.

Good luck!
