Explanation:
lo de 'arrested development' quiere decir que el desarrollo se detiene antes de tiempo, queda incompleto. es más fuerte que decir simplemente que el desarrollo se entorpece o se dificulta, a mi modo de entender. es más la imagen de algo que se corta, se troncha. la sugerencia de Alicia de que el desarrollo 'se interrumpe' me parece muy buena, aunque podría dejar la idea de que el desarrollo puede, 'después de la interrupción' volver a retomarse - y creo que esto, desde el punto de vista del autor citado, no es cierto.
