Se trata en un documento el efecto que tiene el conocimiento de fondo del lector en la comprensión de textos familiares y no familiares. Al respecto, habla de textos que se han adaptado para el lector y otros que se han dejado "originales", y se habla de dos términos que consigo traducir: "nativized" y "turkefied":

"The advanced EFL readers in Alptekin’s (2006) study achieved higher comprehension scores on both the literal and inferential M/C questions on the more familiar Turkefied (nativized) text than on the less familiar original about the US, with the literal question scores being higher overall. Another study based on Alptekin (2006) with nativized texts by Erten and Razi (2009) also found that cultural familiarity had a greater effect on comprehension recall scores than pre-, during, and postreading activities, with advanced EFL students, which also had an effect in themselves."
