Traduzco un estudio sobre la adquisición léxica en lengua extranjera o segunda lengua. Aquí va algo de contexto:

"In most of the research into inferencing and dictionary use, the most standard situation is the L2 readers attempting to decipher from the context and target vocabulary item form an already known meaning, and to create the link between L2 form and meaning. In other words, the desired outcome is that the L2 readers will ultimately be able to link an L2 form label to a meaning that already exists in their lexicon, not a new concept (Li, 1988). Cultural concepts that are new can be very problematic to acquire (Béjoint, 1981) and/or items that are not lexicalised in the L1 of the learner (Chen & Truscott, 2010), that is the concept does not have a recognised lexical form."
