English term or phrase: core built-up/liner
Hi dear all!

I am translating a text on Dentistry, and there are some instructions on how to apply certain product to temporaries ("provisionales" in Spanish). It is very technical, and they mention "glass ionomer" that is "ionómero de vidrio" in Spanish, and there is a sentence that reads:

If a resin based or glass ionomer CORE BUILT-UP/LINER has been used,

I am wondering what a "liner" in Dentistry is.. or a "core built-up". Can anyone help please?

Thanks!

Reconstrucción coronaria
Explanation:
A core build up is used when teeth are built up because their foundation is insufficient to attach a crown. For the crown to be successful, it must have a good foundation to support it.

Reconstrucción coronaria total: Es la reconstrucción total de un diente del cual quedan poco tejido dentario. Se emplean diversos materiales de obturación como composites, amalgamas, etc

Podrías traducirlo con "reconstrucción coronaria con materiales a base de ..."
