I imagine you have been on ProZ quite a long time, and I assume too that you have familiarized yourself with their rules/regulations, and even what is expected of colleagues in terms of courtesy. @ O María Elena: it would be nice if your messages were not so dry, as a please (assist me) and thank you are not difficult to say at all and if you are asking colleagues for assistance, out of simple courtesy, a few words of thanks would be highly appreciated. En el texto original EMS aparece numerosas veces en referencia a emergency medical service mientras que EEMS aparece una sola vez, con el mismo sentido y sin ninguna justificación para la E adicional. EEMS, así, parece un typo; debería leerse EMS (literalmente servicio médico de emergencias aunque me resulta más natural y ajustada la referencia a servicio de emergencias médicas).

I would imagine that "EEMS" which only appears once means Emergency Management Services, and take it that the reason of "EEMS" (just once) is that is refers to "services". Other instances, it is just the regular and more known "EMS". Services would then be plural.
