English term or phrase: Conterm
Could anybody help me with the translation of this word?

There are two men talking about army matters and one says to the other:

"X. (another person) has finished his CONTERM with me and has begun to work. I think he´ll do well, he is a gifted fellow."

Thank you very much.

Short for Contract Termination?

Another guess, but it sounds like speaker is referring to some form of course or training, perhaps prior to leaving the service and going out into the world to work?

Not totally sure, but perhaps could be some kind of "meeting" where the person got briefed and informed and now is ready to work?

Just a guess.

Perdón, en español, habría dicho “reunión” (o “reunión informativa”... algo por el estilo). Quizá con algo más de contexto se podría determinar lo que esto quiere decir realmente.
