Explanation:
2 stage= dos etapas. Significa que el silenciador divide le ruido que produce el disparo en dos etapas. Una que saca una parte de la combustion en una cámara en el comienzo del silenciado y el resto lo trabaja en el resto del silenciador. Esto logra rueducir el ruido grandemente. Aunque esta técnica de supresión de ruido en dos etapas es relativamente más compleja para poner en práctica, presenta más oportunidad para retardar y enfriar los gases propulsores y reducen el nivel de explosión en gran forma.

n a second group, at least a portion of the propellant gases are partially diverted through a plurality of radial vents or passages disposed between inner and outer circumferential walls of the suppressor to one or more un-baffled, radially exterior “blast suppressor” chambers located in a back section of the device, before being introduced into the series of expansion chambers of a baffled “front section” of the device of the type described above.
