'Burnt crop waste' son los susodichos desechos vegetales (quemados). En mi caso, busqué en YouTube como indica Taña y los primeros resultados incluyen carbón ecológico usando hojas de maíz, cáscaras de plátano, de coco, etc. Los resultados pueden variar según el país, pero con 'carbón verde' son cosas sin relación.

In summary, I still think "green charcoal" is "carbón verde". "Carbon vegetal" appears to be "wood charcoal", and there is little evidence that "carbón ecológico" is quite right based on the videos on Youtube.
