Basado en la observación de Beatriz y el contexto muy aclarativo, voy a sugerir para "thick values", valores aplicados (o prácticos), y para "thin values", valores abstractos.

I apologize for the inappropriate use of disagrees in this question. I did not use the disagrees as a form of highlighting my answer, nor was it my intention to discredit my colleagues. In fact, respectful and friendly interaction with you, my colleagues, is perhaps my principal reason for participating. I misunderstood the use of disagrees, thinking that one should disagree when of the opinion that an answer would lead to misunderstanding. Since "thick" and "thin", in the field of philosophy, are terms as precise and technical as are legal and engineering terms in those respective fields, I believed that I was actually doing what was appropriate. I did not take the personal feelings into account, as I should have. I was overzealous about the opportunity to contribute in an area which is dear to my heart, as is philosophy.
But most important to me is my relationship with all of you--and I say this with all sincerity--I am here for the fraternity and sense of belonging that a forum such as this can provide. I feel badly to have given the impression that I was discrediting anyone--please accept my apologies--I really do want to be accepted into the group. Sorry.

Hola, Jorge: Gracias por el contexto. No sólo no abruma sino que es muy conveniente y hubiera venido muy bien de entrada.
En cuanto a tu pregunta, "thin value" es un término acuñado en inglés (3.130 citas en Google) pero no es aconsejable traducirlo por "valor delgado"

Perdonad que os abrume con tanto contexto, pero creo que puede iluminar la pregunta. El párrafo de la pregunta empieza (contexto: relativismo culural/moral):

"Values are also abstract, but they differ in their degree of abstractness. At their most abstract or generic or thin they generate little disgragreement. At their thinnest, values are least informative about what people care abut. So, for example, both Dutch and immigrant Muslim men will value respect, but that tells us nothing about what they mean by respect...

¿No choca en inglés "thin value" tanto como en español "valor delgado"?
