Explanation:
A mi entender se refiere a que el dispositivo permite ubicar con buena precisión dispositivos emisores de radio ilegales. Con estos términos lo que pretende expresar es que la zona en la cual el sistema muestra que están los dispositivos es bastante acotada, lo cual es una ventaja.

Por lo tanto no me parecería mal usar la traducción directa que propongo. La otra opción sería reformular todo el texto para expresar el concepto que indico en el párrafo anterior de una forma que te parezca más clara.
