agree  Charles Davis: Aunque ya se haya cerrado la pregunta, "dije" me parece perfecto, sobre todo porque, históricamente, denota un amuleto (estoy con un texto sobre dijes en España en el siglo XVIII). A lo mejor se emplea más hoy en día en América Latina.
