English term or phrase: visa foil
Context: When entering in your US visa number in FNIS, use the red number printed on your ***visa foil*** (sticker) in your passport.

Found this explanation: Visa Stamp - A visa stamp in a foreign alien's passport to enable the individual to gain entrance into the U.S. in a certain visa status. The modern, machine-readable "stamp" is not a stamp at all, but a specially designed "foil" that is affixed to a page in the passport and carries identity and other information. Many people still use the term "stamp," but *****"visa foil"**** is becoming a frequently heard term. This entry stamp does not tell you how long the foreign alien has permission to stay in the U.S.; it simply tells them how many times and for how long they have permission to apply for entry into the U.S. in that particular visa category. The visa stamp must be valid only on the day an individual is physically entering the U.S. Once admitted, as long as a foreign alien continues to hold a valid visa document or otherwise maintains status, the visa stamp in the passport can expire without rendering the individual out of status.

numero de visa folio

Explanation:
A visa is a document issued by the U.S. Department of State (DOS), usually at a U.S. consulate abroad. This document, often called a stamp, is affixed to a page in one's passport. The visa is not actually a stamp; the proper term is foil. A visa does not guarantee an individual's entry into the United States, nor does the visa confer a U.S. immigration status upon an individual. Instead, the visa allows the holder to request permission to enter the United States at a port of entry (POE).

The visa foil includes biographic information and a picture of the visa holder. The visa also indicates the type / class of visa being issued (i.e. B-2, F-1, H1B, etc). Visas may be issued for single entry or multiple entries. Whether or not a visa will be issued for single or multiple entries is dependent upon the category and country-specific issues of reciprocity with the United States. from Latin folium
