Si el destinatario no estaba en casa, estaba ausente, no puede habérsele "notificado"... Se le podría haber dejado la notificación, pero no hay prueba fehaciente de que le haya llegado...

Tal vez "notificación expedida" podría ser una opción... o "notificación emitida"...
