Själv hade jag nog bara skrivit \"ers högvördighet\" (se t ex Norstedts under \"most reverend archbishop...\" Det här fann jag på nätet: Johannes av Korset och Teresa har bägge fått titeln kyrkolärare (doctor ecclesiae). On October 19 the Church will do something it hasn\'t done in 27 years - proclaim another Doctor of the Church. According to the Maryknoll Catholic Dictionary, a Doctor of the Church is \"a title officially conferred by the Church on ecclesiastical writers of eminent learning and a high degree of sanctity who have distinguished themselves by their defense, exposition and preservation of the doctrine of the Church.\" Pope Boniface VIII was the first to confer this title in 1205.
