The output of the S/PDIF (coaxial) digital audio format is based on HDMI Output-A. If the sink devices (HDTV or projector), which are connected to Output A and Output B, only support stereo audio, then the coaxial digital audio is also able to output PCM stereo audio.

My translation into Swedish:

Utsignalen av S/PDIF (koaxialt) digitalt ljudformat är baserat på HDMI-utgång A. Om de skrivande lagringsanordningarna (HDTV:n och projektorn), som är anslutna till utgång A och utgång B, endast stödjer stereoljud så är även den koaxiala digitala audion kapabel att skicka PCM-stereoljud.

I have thus translated 'sink device' with 'skrivande lagringsanordning'. However, I am definitely not certain whether this is a correct translation or not. I am most grateful for any suggestion on this.

The whole translation is a manual for an AV switch for home theater, LCD-TV etc.
