English term or phrase: to fall victim to
"Her Regency counterpart, I suppose, would have borne a dozen children without the aid of anaesthetics, while he would have fallen an easy victim to the first dark eyes in Naples."

Yani "fall a victim" ifadesinin Türkçe'deki aşık olmak, vurulmak anlamı var mı?

Zaman ayırdığınız için teşekkürler.

O (Erkek) Napoli 'de ilk kara gözlüye aşık olurken, O'nun (Kadın) Naipliği, sanırım anestezi yardımı olmadan bir düzine çocuk doğurmuş olurdu. "

kurban dusmek

Explanation:
Fall dusmek demek ve victim kurban demek. Cok derinlik aramaya gerek yok bunun direk cevirisi yeterli, yani kurban dusmek. Kurban olmak olamaz cunku ozaman to become a victim olurdu.

agree  Aziz Kural: Here it means to fall in love.. Regards, Aziz... However I have to admit that a similar phrase may be chosen instead of a plain 'falling in love' to carry the meaning in the context as Mr. Metzger has pointed out...

-> That would be a weak, unimaginative translation straying from the literary source text. Do you specialize in poetry/literature?
