آپ کس مقصد کے لئے کہاں رہے؟

Explanation:
The first part of the sentence is simple 'Where have you been' meaning ' aap kahan rahay ?'

'Upto' is a little confusing. It can either be 'Upto which place' or 'for what purpose'

The latter appeals me much, so I have inserted it.

Explanation:
This is supposed to be: 'what have you been upto' instead of 'where'
IF.... this is definitely coming under the terms of ''where'' then in this case the question should be phrased as;
'' where have you been?''
which means is a response question and is enquiring about the activities or places where the person has been to up to that point.
However, if this is ''what have....
well this is an every day proper phrase;
It is a response question,
a conversation - filler,
also used in idle chit-chat.
It means asking what you have done during that day/week regarding work or leisure activities, in the past tense.
Mainly used in end-of-day conversations within family, friends, colleagues etc.
It can also be asked after a particular day event, to enquire which of the activities that person carried out, from a number of particular other activities.
It is also a good 'blog' issue,
for e.g, check out the given link;

sorry the beginning of the sentence has got cut off for some reason... it's supposed to be;
کیا

Example sentence(s):
  • Maryam met up with Sanjana and asked her, ''so, what have you been upto today?''

آپ ابھی تک کہاں تھے؟ آپ ابھی تک کیا کر رہے تھے

Explanation:
Well, English phrase is not correct but these type of mistakes are usual especially amongst the new learners. I've given the above two sugessions to help the asker that I seem appropriate.

آپ اب تک کہاں تھے؟/ آپ اب تک کیا کر رہے تھے؟

Explanation:
Where it seems,in this sentence is in the sense of what and therefore the second one is what I would prefer:i.e what were you doing until now?
