English term or phrase: grace
Greetings,

One of the main differences between Biblical Christianity and most other faith systems is that we believe that we are saved through God’s goodness/lovingkindness (grace) and not by anything that we ourselves do.

Of course, we also believe that this grace will inevitably bring us to do good things and live good lives, but these things in themselves aren’t enough to save us from God's anger at the bad things we have done.

Please give the word both in Urdu script and also in Latin script for its pronuciation.

Many thanks,

Simon

Fazl, فضل
Explanation:
"Fazl/فضل" is the Urdu/Arabic term that is the direct counterpart of "Grace" as used in Christian literature. E.g.
یہ صرف خدا کا فضل ہے جس سے ہم بچائے جائیں گے۔

"فضل" transliterated in Arabic would be "Fadhl"...but in Urdu ض is pronounced as "Z."

agree  Rizwan-Saleem: I think you are right here, though mehrbani would probably equate to graciousness, ie the plural
