English term or phrase: Word/number order for annual report
Dear colleagues,

My target text is in U.K. English and it's an annual report translated from a Portuguese source text.

My question: if I am trying to say 1.5 million euros, what is the word/number order preference in British English?

€ 1.5 M?
1.5 M €?

Or something else?

This is a hard-core accounting text, and I am a U.S. English native, so I need it to be 100% perfect for a British financial audience.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

... and with lowercase m for million, despite the scope for confusion with metres (oops! meters in US English :)
