English term or phrase: having
(5) Radio equipment used with area-specific alarm system having radio frequency between 300-500 MHz with transmission power less than 10 mW.

Please edit the sentence. Is the word "having' here appropriate.

Proposal
Explanation:
I'm not an electronics expert, but this is how I'd rephrase the sentence. It's still somewhat awkward with all those "withs."

Radio equipment with an area-specific alarm system with a radio frequency between 300-500 MHz and less than 10 mW transmission power.

IS used

Explanation:

This is not a proper sentence because there is no verb.

Radio equipment IS used with an area-specific alarm system which has (or having) a radio frequency of between 300-500 MHz

agree  DGK T-I: Likely in this case:"Radio equipment that is used.....having.....MHz." (Nothing wrong with the 'having'). 'That is' + ' a radio freq.'absent because it is written in a telegraphic/abbreviated/note form,although it saves few words ~

neutral  Charlie Bavington: bit harsh, Rita mate - looks to me like one (5) of a list of bullet points, the main verb presumably comes earlier, e.g. "When hunting wildebeest, you are advised NOT to take: (1) a vacuum cleaner having no battery power source (2) bottles with corks....

having = with = possessing

Explanation:
having = with = possessing

However, on reading it, my question is, is it the alarm system which has the radio frequency and transmission power, or the radio equipment? The sentence structure is not very good - you need technical knowledge (which I don't have sufficient of) to understand it.
