Context:

Graphane is a two-dimensional, hexagonal hydrogenated form of graphene. The hydrogen atoms are attached at opposites of the carbon atoms plane. In comparison to graphene, graphane retains the thinness, super-strength, flexibility and density of graphene, but the hydrogen-carbon bond of graphane has an insulating effect.
