English term or phrase: dripped off
I played Aussie Rules all the way right through to under-16s. But then I transitioned at the same time in the teens across to rugby league, kind of dripped off playing Aussie Rules. I was getting suspended too many times with those rules too. It was back in the good old days where you could come on the blind side.

Thanks in advance,

Explanation:
Just guessing the meaning from the context given. He was "getting suspended too many times with those rules", so he was tired of playing Aussie Rules.
