"each a" or "each, a"

English term or phrase: "each a" or "each, a"

I came across two similar expressions in two contracts.

They are:

1. XXX customers (each a "Customer User")
2. XXX customers (each, a "Customer User")

These two expressions differ only in the presence or absence of a comma after the word "each". Which expression should be correct?

Basically I believe the second one is the correct one. Please share your ideas on this.

Explanation:
I don't really like either, although your first option is better (without the comma).

I believe there are two solutions that are better:
1) XXX customers (each being a "Customer User")
2) XXX customers, each a "Customer User"
