cuspal Explanation: Since your sentence suggests that those are colors of the tooth enamel, cuspal might mean "the original color of the pointed part of the tooth." It is not white, gray or anything else but the original color. |

just a commercial/trade name Explanation: There doesn't seem to be a proper color name "cuspal" used outside of the particular terminology field (dentures). It's common practice for different industries, e.g. textile manufacturing, to invent names for colors used for their products. Judging from the id number assigned to it, cuspal must be a shade between "neutral" and "clear": Neutral 232513 Light 232512 Grey 232516 Cuspal 232514 Clear 232515 http://www.kerrhawe.com/learning/publications/2007catalog/en... For untrained human eye it would be difficult to recognize the particular shade unless it is placed between its adjacent shades ("neutral" and "clear") -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 hrs (2007-05-19 11:27:30 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I'd say, translate just like you would translate "cuspal", in its proper - not color-related - meaning, into your language. |
