A region in anatomy is not just an area. It is a defined area that has a certain name, such as the 'mediastine' or ' mediastino' which gathers heart and lungs area inside plus other bones musles etc in the 'region'. So 'region' is a jargon term, not just an area. It is a defined area with a name, sich as 'mediastine', defined by anatomists. The axillary cell -or cavity- (so would it be called in Spanish at least) , is not a region.

The subjects were nine healthy subjects (mean age: 20 years old) with limited hip external rotation range of motion. After adaptation in a constant temperature and humidity room, we measured the hip ranges of motion and skin temperature in the hips and thighs. Next, we conducted acupuncture on the acupoint Kenkobanten followed by a 1-minute stimulation of pecking sparrow needling, and measured the ranges of motion and the skin temperature in the same manner. A washout period was set for the same subject, and the same procedure was used for measurement control without stimulation.
