w/d no.: weekday number Explanation: And it is only 1-6 and not 1-7 because Sunday is excluded in "weekday" But I cannot be sure it is this. |

w/d no.: warehouse/distribution number Explanation: I have to admit that this is not much more than a guess, but I think it could be right and I can't find anything else that might be followed by a six-digit number. I've found an example of "W/D no." on a proof of artwork for a pharmaceutical product. There is a section called "Artwork Info", which contains "Part No.", "W/D No.", "Customer" and "Product", and then a section called "Size Info", which contains details of the printing itself: http://www.hpra.ie/img/uploaded/swedocuments/2158569.PA0294_... So "W/D No" doesn't seem to be anything to do with the size. It is more to do with the basic information on the order. "Warehouse/Distribution" occurred to me because it's one of the relevant things that "W/D" can stand for and it seems to me to make sense in the context; it is plausible that they should assign a warehouse and distribution number to an order: "W/D = Warehouse/Distribution" http://www.cushmanwakefield.com/~/media/marketbeat/2015/11/P... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2016-04-30 23:10:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- That's a very good idea, Ehab. It seems that the company is MWV, which is Meadwestvaco Healthcare Packaging Ltd. The address is in Dublin. Apparently it has now merged with another company called Rock Tenn to form Westrock. Their phone number is on the document, or you could probably contact them through this page and ask them what W/D means, giving them a link to the document I've quoted or your own: http://www.mwv.com/en-us/contact-landing-page -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2016-04-30 23:13:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Maybe this page would be the best one to use, because you're not a potential customer: http://www.mwv.com/en-us/about/contact-us |
