Go different ways

English translation: we can interpret the verse in many different ways

English term or phrase: Go different ways
"We can go a lot of different ways with that verse, because we are all appearing before the judgment seat, and we are standing before the judgment seat."

I know the attached context is not that helpful but more context wouldn't help better either. Do you think this means something like "we could argue about this" or "we can understand that verse in different ways"? I couldn't find help in dictionaries.

Selected answer:we can interpret the verse in many different ways
Explanation:
I think it's like you mentioned, they're saying that the verse can be interpreted in many different ways.

The verse "For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." is talking about escaping some kind of punishment that is going to befall on all people, and yet it is also talking about being worthy enough to escape this punishment.

Therefore, the person is saying, this verse can be interpreted many different ways since it talks about escaping judgement day when we are all going to be subject to it.
