Hello.
How'd you express بچه‌ام را از سر راه نیاورده‌ام که in English?

Example sentence:

ِDear Kiarash,
I searched for the term بچه سرراهی and here is the reference
But I think there is a equivalent mismatch in terms of the register between the target term and the source term.

Okay, in that case my suggestion would be
I have been through a lot to raise my child

Sorry, it is
an equivalent mismatch

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you. I'm sure what you suggested conveys the literal meaning of the expression in question, but I'm not sure if it can convey its figurative meaning as well? Could you provide an example sentence from a reliable source where this expression is used?

Asker: The expression بچه‌ام را از سر راه نیاورده‌ام که means I've been through a lot of ups and downs to get my child to where he/she is today, suggesting that no one shouldn't want me to let my child do something which will surely be to his/her detriment. Another common example is

Asker: Thanks for your help.
