"Pekkanen" time off Explanation: Time off granted to shorten working hours, provided for under collective agreements. It is named after the national conciliator Matti Pekkanen, who in the 1980s was a key figure in initiating an economic policy decision whereby it was agreed that the weekly working time of those working a 40-hour week should be shortened in stages by granting extra time off. accrued days off, days off in lieu of shorter working hours Explanation: Unless the target audience is familiar with the Finnish practices, I would translate the term and use e.g. accrued days off, days off in lieu of shorter working hours, etc. Some have even used the term "working time reduction leave" See e.g. https://virtuallawyer.fondiatools.com/en/Sivut/Days off in Lieu of Shorter Working Hours.aspx |
