associated company Explanation: "A company is associated with another if both companies are controlled by the same (or substantially the same) individuals." Huomaa kuitenkin väärinkäsityksen mahdollisuus: "In common parlance the term ‘associated company’ is used to denote a subsidiary or other company that is part of the same group of companies." Kannattaa ehkä määritellä termi alaviitteessä, ettei tule sekaannusta! https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/related+company |

Reference: Agree but cf. Black's and Cambridge Reference information: There seem to be two slightly different versions in use (GB/US difference?). Black's Law Dictionary uses associate company: 'A firm that another firm controls. At least 20% of shares are usually used for this. The directories are interlocked to make sure a common policy and similiar objectives are in place.' Cambridge Dictionary in turn has associated company: 'a company in which another company has a stake of between 20% and 50% (= owns this percentage of its shares)'.
